What we collect

• What you type into a form (name, email, business, message), when you send it: to reply to you, or to update a listing you asked us to change. We send you a newsletter only if you tick that box. Kept for up to 24 months.
• Technical data (IP address, browser, pages visited) on every visit: for security and hosting, and to limit form spam. Kept up to 30 days in server logs.
• Visit counts through Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and does not identify you.

We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

Businesses listed on this site

Made in Carmel lists local businesses using information from public sources: business websites, public directories and maps (including OpenStreetMap), and public registers. Short descriptions are written with the help of AI from what a business says about itself. If you represent a listed business and want a listing corrected or removed, use the “claim or update this listing” form on its page or write to privacy@madeincarmel.shop, and we will act within 30 days. Photos are credited to their source; contact us to have an image removed.

Who we share it with

Our service providers: Cloudflare (hosting, email delivery of form copies, cookieless visit counts), Bossreach CMS (where the site’s content and form messages are kept), Google Fonts (fonts load from Google, which sees your IP address), and map or video providers if you open an embedded map or video. Cookies

This site sets no tracking cookies. It keeps a few settings in your browser, such as which puzzles you have solved. If we ever add analytics that use cookies, they will run only after you agree.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, delete or get a copy of your data, and to opt out of any sale or sharing (we do neither). Write to privacy@madeincarmel.shop. We reply within 45 days. California residents have these rights under the CCPA/CPRA; people in the EU and UK also have GDPR rights and can complain to their data protection authority.

Children

This site is for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We will update this notice and its date when our practices change.
